Mr. Ibrahim Rasheed, known as ‘Parker’ achieved a significant milestone by receiving his Maldivian Amateur Radio License and Call Sign ‘8Q7PR’ from the Communication Authority of Maldives.
With over 15 years of experience in radio communications and maritime operations, Mr. Parker began his career in 1964 as a Radio Operator Trainee on a merchant ship traveling between Male’ and Colombo. He earned his local Wireless Operator license in 1966 and a General Certificate License in 1979 from the Postmaster General in Colombo.
His recent venture into amateur radio further showcases his lifelong passion for communication and his desire to engage with the local amateur radio community, where he serves as an inspiration to fellow enthusiasts.
